How much does AI consulting cost for a small business?

Most CBus AI Agents engagements range from $1,749 for a software-only setup to $14,999 for a 3-month embedded engagement. All plans include 6 months of ongoing support at $350/month. Every scope is custom because every business is different.

What is the difference between the three tiers?

Tier 1 is software only — we configure Claude, Obsidian, and your AI agent team on your existing hardware. Tier 2 adds full hardware setup, backup systems, and security. Tier 3 includes everything plus 10 hours per week for 3 months where we run your AI agents alongside you to hit real business goals.

Is the hardware included in the price?

Hardware is purchased separately. We guide you on exactly what to buy based on your needs and budget. Most clients spend $1,200-$2,500 on hardware (laptop or desktop). You own it outright.

What happens after the engagement ends?

All plans include 6 months of support at $350/month. After that, you can continue month-to-month or operate independently. You own everything we build — the agents, the vault, the systems. Nothing is locked behind a subscription.

Do I need any technical background?

No. We configure everything and train you in plain English. Most of our clients are small business owners with zero tech background. You interact with the output, not the infrastructure.

Can I upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 2 or 3 later?

Yes. Many clients start with the Software Setup and upgrade when they are ready for hardware or a deeper engagement. We credit your Tier 1 investment toward the upgrade.
