Where It All Started — An Elite Army Unit

Before Jeff ever ran a business, he served in one of the most disciplined environments in the world. As a member of an elite Army unit, he learned something that no business school teaches: what it actually means to perform under pressure, hold yourself to an impossible standard, and show up the same way every single day — regardless of how you feel.

Qualifying as a Sentinel at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier wasn't just an honor. It was a crucible. The training is grueling, the expectations are absolute, and the margin for error is zero. Jeff earned Badge #563 — and with it, a way of thinking about leadership, discipline, and commitment that has shaped everything he's built since.

Chapter 2

The First Business — Learning to Wear Every Hat

After his honorable discharge, Jeff went back to school at The Ohio State University — and started his first business at the same time. Friendship Fitness was born not out of perfect conditions, but out of drive, grit, and a refusal to wait until everything was ready.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude. But the real education was happening in the business. He was doing everything — building the website, writing the marketing copy, handling HR, creating the SOPs, running the social media, managing the finances, and figuring out SEO from scratch. If something needed to be done, Jeff figured out how to do it.

He didn't stop there. He attended hundreds of conferences. He learned from some of the leading voices in marketing, operations, sales, and business strategy. He took everything he absorbed and brought it back to his gym — and built Friendship Fitness into one of the most successful gyms in the country.

Chapter 3

Real Estate, AI, and a Different Kind of Freedom

While building Friendship Fitness, Jeff started building a real estate company too. Two businesses. A growing family. A hundred things demanding his attention every single day.

That's when he discovered what AI could actually do — not the hype version, but the real, practical version. He started using AI tools to handle the repetitive work, manage follow-ups, organize systems, and get more done without cloning himself. He watched his productivity jump. He watched his stress drop. He started getting home at a reasonable hour and actually being present with his family.

The tools weren't complicated once someone showed him how to use them. And that realization changed everything.

Now — Helping Other Business Owners Get Their Lives Back

Jeff started Cbus AI Agents because he kept meeting business owners who reminded him of a younger version of himself — grinding through every problem alone, convinced they just needed to work harder, not realizing that the tools they needed already existed.

His mission is simple: take everything he's learned across the military, fitness, real estate, and technology — and give it directly to entrepreneurs who are ready to build a business that works for them. Less stress. More time with family. A healthier, more sustainable way to operate.
